Tho speakers are to bo the president of tho Exhibition Committee, the president of tho Canterbury Trades and Labour Council, and an official representative of the Government', who will declare the Exhibition open. Bishop Julius, Hishop Grimos, the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church, representatives of other religious denominations, and representative public men. For the various competitions in connection with tho Exhibition, entries are being rcoeivcrf in very large numbers. Tho very numerous entries received to date seems to indicate that tho space originally allotted by tho committee will be wholly inadequate, and tho Competitions Committee is somewhat concerned to find accommodation for the exhibits, not only in the fancy and needlework, but' also in the skilled trade classes.
