PEARCE BENEFIT CONCERT.

Fullford's Hall, Brooklyn, was packed on Monday evening, when, a benefit ormoert was given by the Brooklyn Gloo Club, assisted by the Wellington I'ij>»> Band, for tlio Tearee family. The (flees and other items pi veil by the Oki C'inh wero excellently rendered, several of the pieces being cncored. One of tho features of the entertainment was the singing of Hiss Olive Savers, which was very highly appreciated .by the largo audience. The .selections by the Pipe Band were of a very high order, as also were tho Highland dances given by four young ladies connected with the band. Items were also contributed by Mrs, Reid, Sir. C. Russell, and Mr. W. M'Lellan. The concert as a whole was a most successful one, and those responsible for it are to be complimented on the excellence of the programme. The president of the Brooldvn lileo Club, "Air. R. A. Wright, M.P.-, occupied the chair, and expressed great pleasure at the whole-hearted manner in which the public had responded to this deserving case. Mr. Bates, treasurer of tho Benefit Fund, proposed a voio of thanks to those who had made the evening so enjoyable, and especially to Mr. A. H. Fullford for the free uso of his hall, and to the ".Maori!,ind Worker" for printing programmes and tickets free of charge.
