Tho Hutt County Council met yesterday. There wero present Councillors M. J. Lynch (chairman), J. Wakoman, W. Galloway, T. Edwards, and J. Whitcmau. Tho inspector of works reported that most of tho roads wero in mod order. About 2300 feet of timber had been ordered for tho Fitzherbe.rt Swamp bridging, and when it was delivered tho work would be commenced. When the business was concluded, Councillor Lynch said that probably Ire would not seek re-election to tho council. If lie did stand again, ho hoped he would meet all tho present council at the table. Several councillors eulogised Councillor Lynch, and said they hoped ho would stand again. A bad cold, and a long sneezo, And a, coughing fit beside; A harsh voice, and a red nose, And a throat that is ran- inside.
