RIFLE SHOOTING.
LOVEDAY WINS SYDNEY EVENT. By Telesraph—Press Association-Oopyrlchl (Rec. October 11, 1 a.m.) Sydney, October 10. The New South Wales Rifle Association meeting was continued to-day. There was a variable wind, and shooting was difficult. Private Loveday (New Zealand) beat Shaw (Melbourne) in the shoot-off for the "Referee" Match, by 13 points to 11. The following Now Zealanders won prizes;—ln tlm Jaques Match, Needham, Hunt, Roots, Cocks, Henderson and James, each won ,£1; in tho Dudley Match Loveday, Rqnts, and Porston each won .£1; and in 'ho New March, Marshall, Ching, Given, Gower, and-Loveday won £2.
In the Members' Match Loveday and Cocks, of New Zealand, won .£1 each.
