TEN THOUSAND DEAD.
THE FIGHTING IN SZECHUAN, Bar Teleirrapfc—Press Association—Copyrishl Pekin, October 6. It is estimated that 2000 soldiers and 8000 rebels were killed during the fighting at Chiiurtu, the capital of tho provino* of Szechuan. Thousands of tho inhabitants are homeless and many committed suicide. The town of Chingtu is now quiet. Ten thousand rebels hold several cities in tho south-west of the province.
