SWIMMING.
■ LYALL BAY SUKF CLUB. Tho annual meeting of tlie Lyall Bay Surf Club was held last night. Mr. G. S. Hill presided, and there were about 20 present. The balance-sheet showed the receipts as £W is.—donations, £a 9s. Cd.j members' subscriptions, .62 25.; club badges sold, M 12s. Gd. After expenses were paid there was a balance of 19s. Id. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Sir Bobert Stout; president, Mr. J. F. Atkins; vice-presidents, Dr. Izard, Messrs. E. Fletcher, H. Morrah, L. B. Blundell, G. S. Hill, T. Shields, J. E. Fitzgerald, A Levy, and A. Leslio;, captain, Mr. E. Levy; vice-captain, Mr. J. Stratford; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. C. O'Flaherty J committee, Messrs. W. G. Morpeth, K. Eussell, E. Bead, H. M..S. Mulhns, and D. F. Duignan; auditor, Mr. ■ Levestain. . It was decided to withdraw the application which had been made to the Wellington Amateur Swimming Centre for affiliation, a resolution to join the Eoyal ;Hnmanq So.ciety was made ■h T.He 'chairman reported that tho • City Council had decided to re-erect the tshed which tad been ruined by a recent storm, and .that the council was going, to put up posters notifying danger spots.
