NEW ZEALAND SHIPMENTS. Sty Telcffraph—Ptfess Association— Copyriehl Sydney, October G. A deputation from the Fruit Growers' Union waited on Mr. Trefle, State Minister for Agriculture, and protested against the new regulation requiring that ten per centum of the fruit shipped to New Zealand shall be tipped out for inspection. It was declared that this would damage tho fruit. The deputation asked for a reversion to tho old system. Mr. Trefle, in reply, said that the whole trouble had arisen through a carolcss system of dispatching fruit to New Zealand. Many honest growers had been victimised by dishonest shippers labelling fmit as coming from orchards where it had not been grown. Sβ promised to see if it were possible to revert to the old method, with modifications.
