LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY.

The Wellington Centre of Hie Royal Life-Saving liccietv, met last evening, Mr. G. S. Hill presiding. A letter .was received from Mr. William Henry, chief secretary to. the. Royal Life-Saving Society in London, thankin. , ; the Wellington Centre for their kind'nrss during his recent visit to New Zealand. Mr W. E. Morrieth, secretary of tho Wellington Centre, tendered his resignation. This was accepted with rrgret. Mr. \V. C. Collier was appointed secretary pro torn. The date, of the annual meeting way fixed for October 19. A letter was received from the Canterbury Centre statins, that they had derided not to associate with the Sports Protection Society.
