(Palmerston North branch) report:—At Hiinitangi, on Monday, we hid a good entry of chesp and cattle, and effected a good clearance at late rates. Sheep: Ewes and lambs, 13s. Id.; fat ewes, 15=. 6d. to 17s. Id.; hogged, 11s. sd. Mr. Newton King's weeltly Etock report is as follows:—On Monday, September 25, I held a clearing sale at Mangatoki on account of Mr. C. i. Luston, jun., when there was a large attendance. Competition was keen, and the stock, being in good demand, sold 'as follows:—Cows at profit and close up, £8 to £15 55.; later, £5 to .£7 155.; empty, £3 10s. to £5; heifers, springing, £5 17s. Cd. to £8 Us.; empty, £4 10s. to £4 153.; Shorthorn bull, £6 55.; Jersey, £7; light draught horses, £17 to £22; bacon pigs, 265.; wagon. £16; gig. £17 55.; sundries sold at usual rates. At my Stratford springing heifer sale on Tuesday, September 26, there was a fair yardinc of dairy cattle, which were disposed of at the following rates:—Springing heifers, £4 12s. 6u to £8 12s. 6d.; do. Jersoy, £5: heifers calved, £4 10s. to £9 55.; dairy cowls close up. £6 to £9; do. calved, £8 to £8 15s. On the fame day I held my fortnightly sale at Hahotu, when there was a izitc'i yarding of all classes, which sold at~tho following rates.
