OPENING OF THE SEASON. Tho Wellington - rowing season opened on Saturday . afternoon under perfect weather conditions. There was a very large number of ladies and gentlemen present, and the various events were watched with interest. ' Tho season was officially declared open by Mr. H; D. Bell, president of tho Wellington Rpwing Association. ' A cutter race between present members and old members took place, which resulted in a win for the latter.
