The Court of Criminal Appeal has quashed the death sentence on Ellison for murdering, his sweetheart, at Clerkenwell on August 10, on tho ground that tho evidence of tho principal witness for tho Crown required corrpboration. This the first tiino a capital conviction has been set aside.
