Itain is probable Generally, and enow on the highlands of the south. The barometer. is very unsteady, probably rising in the south, but falling in the north. The barometer lias fallen everywhere, and the centre of a depression showß this evening off Kailtoura. Westerly winds have prevailed, and increased Generally. Wanganui, September 28.—Dull day; cold westerly wind. . Feilding, September 28.—Very cold and threatening; rain day and night, with a strong wind. -Palmerston, September 28. —Weather very threatening; cold northerly wind. Otaki, September 28—Fine, but windy; rainfall to 9 a.m., .02in. Carterton, September 28.—Fine weather prevailed to-day, after over a week of unsettled weather, most of which was stormy. Mouterton, September 28.—The Rev. A. Hodge, reporting at 6 o'clock to-night for the pravious 24 houra, stated;—Tempterature in shade, maximum 45.Mej., minimum 34deg., mean <9.7deg.; earth radiation, 27.8 dee.; earth temperature (Ift. below), 51deg.: wind light, N.; weather mild. Hastings', September 28.—Tlio weather today has boen fine and spring-like. Featherfton, September 26.—Bright fine day.
