(Bγ Teleeraph— Special Correspondent.! Wanganui, September 26. Following the example of the Aramqho folk, St. John's Hill residents are moving in the direction of having the tramways extended to their suburb. A well-attended meeting was held "on the Hill" last evening, when the tramways engineer presented a report on the subject, estimating the cost of t'lio installation at JD12,"00, and tlio yearly running cestfora half-hour service at =£1915. After full discussion a committoo was set up to interview the Borough Council and to take such steps as might bo necessary in the. matter.
