RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
a PASSENGERS' NARROW ESCAPE. By Tcle?rapli—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, September 26. The train to which the accident at Moleswortb occurred was a mixed one. The accident was caused by a truck jumping tho rails. It travelled a distance of two hundred yards before the coupling broke. Then tho truck left the line, dragging another with it over an embankment. Tho following truck and two passenger cars continued on tho line'"till they struck the bridge. Tho truck and ono passenger ear, containing eighteen passengers, toppled over thirty foot, into a gully. The body of the car left tho under carriage, and the top dropping oft', the passengers were thrown clear out. Had the heavy under-carriago fallen with tho car, Hio consequences would have been much more serious. Sixteen wero injured, tho most serious injuries being a broken arm and cuts and bruises.
