FOR TENORS, TRY DUNEDIN.

PROFESSOR IVES'S OPINION. Great praise has been bestowed upon th« tenor singers at tho Dunedin Competitions. Professor Ives said: I think Duncdin is a very fortunate city. I have adjudicated at different places in Queensland and in Western Australia, in almost every place where there has been a competition of importance in Victoria, Tasmania, and South. Australia j but I have never met a group of tenor singers to equal those before mo this afternoon. Perhaps I should have said tenor voices, which is only a qualification in a certain sense. Half a dozen of these would have done credit to any musical centre, and I question whether in any of the much larger centres you would get half a dozen voices as good as those brought before me this afternoon. Two or three of tho singers will not bo recalled to sing again, though I would like to have heard thorn again. They are going out not because they do not deserve to be recalled, but because tho tinio is limited and others have beaten them.
