HOORAY, VOGELTOWN.
Sir,—l think tho Justice Department should send up a squad of police to see that our streets are kept clear when ft public meeting is oalled in Vogsltown, as it is really scandalous the crowd that oollects when there is any project on to push the district forward. ' Last night a meeting was called to discuss a telephone bureau, school, and tramway, and a crowd <vf one M.P. and three residents blocked tho roadway, so that when people came along they looked and wondered at the multitude, who aro desirous to advance the township. There will be another meeting in a few days, so I hope the police will take notice, as there may be more of a crowd next time to block the traffic, a.s the re.sidcits are such n pushing lot of hustlers; in fact, they nre perfect wonders at rolling up to meet their member of Parliament to assist him in tho matter. Ho must really be quite elated at the enormous reception he received. It stands to reason, if such crowds roll up we will soon leave oljier places behind.—l am, etc., ONE OP THE CROWD.
