FEILDING NOTES.
(From Our Special Correspondents.) The council of the Peildiug Chamber of Commerce have held a special meeting (Mr. I - '. Pirani presiding) to discuss tho Postoii Harbour Bill. It was decided to ask Mr. H. Tollcy to proceed to Wellington as representative of tho chamber in opposition to tho Bill, and the opinion was expressed by resolution that the representative of Feilding on tho Foxton Harbour Board'had not been warranted in stating that his attitude had been supported by anyone in business in the district. Mr. llarford goes before the Bill Committee on behalf of the board. At the annual meeting of tho , I'e'ilding and District Egg Circle, Mr. J. Wilson presided. In moving the adoption of the report, tho chairman stated that during tho past year, tho members' list had grown to forty, and, in tho past nine months, J5220 55." had been distributed amongst the members. There was no reason why, during tho coming year, they should not distribute .£GOO or .£BOO. Mr. Rutherford, of Masterton, attended tho meeting, and spoke on tho question of affiliating with the New Zealand Poultry Association. It was decided to affiliate, the circle to reserve the right to chcoso its own agent. The following were elected to the. Management Committee:— Messrs. W. Stretton, G. Bell, J. Wilson, C. Dunford, and R. Barrow; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. H. Simpson (reelected). Messrs. Stretton and K.' Barrow were appointed delegates to the Poul'try Conference.
