INDUSTRIAL DISPUTE.
An industrial dispute between the Wellington Pullers' Union and tho Gear Meat Preserving , and Freezing Company, Ltd., and the Wellington Meat Export' Company, Ltd., will shortly occupy the attention of the Council for Conciliation. The applicants ask that all pulling shall be paid for at piecework rate; that the rate of pay during ordinary time shall not be less than ninepenco per dozen and 011 Sundays or holidays tenpenco per dozen. It is asked that" the award shall apply to employers ,in Wellington and suburbs. Messrs. Herbert Bowler, Jolmscuville, George Wright, Petone, and John Bairstov.-, Lower Ilnlt, are recommended as assessors for the Union.
