WORLD'S SPRINT CIIAMPIOX. The Newcastle Hospital Sport?, organised by TattcrsuU's Club, nil September (!, proved thoroughly successful (says the Sydnoy "Referee"), and tho management could not have been better. The st.-.r attraction was Jack Donaldson, who looked well and satisfied all present that he would give o. good account of himself in liis match with C. E. Holwny on September '2'). Donaldson conceded the one-time local crack, G. K. Conn, 30 yards in 22(1 vanis, and beat him easily in 21 Msec.— a splendid performance considering the. state of the track. The champion was loudly cheered as he retired to the dress-ing-room.
