Arrived.—Marcchal do Goutant. barque (8 a.m.), from British Columbia; Cape Ortegal (7.30 a.m.), from Wellington. ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. Advico received at the Wellington office of Messrs. Iluddart, Parker and Co. on Saturday, concerning the Ulimaroa, stated that tho vessel cleared Sydney for Wellington direct at 1 p.m. The vessel is bringing 155 saloon and 104 steerage passengers to New Zealand, besides 710 tons of cargo for Wellington. The Ulimaroa should be in port early on Wedncof'.-iy morning. It is hoped, however, that tho exact timo of her arrival will be sent through by wireless either to-night or tomorrow. MANA ON THE SLIP. On Saturday tho Patca Shipping Co.'s steamer Jlana, which was damaged whilst entering Patea last week, was placed unou tho Wellington Patent Slip for examination. It was found that tho vessel has a hole through her hull, penetrating into a forward tank. Her stem is also somewhat crushed and bent. It is expected that the little vessel will be on the Slin for a week at Jeast. WAIRAU FLOATED OFF. A message received in Wellington stated that the small steamer Wairau, which went ashore at Karamea, on Friday, was lloatcd on Saturday morning, and berthed at the wharf undamaged. RIMUTAKA ARRIVES. Tho steamer Rhnutaka. from London, via Brisbane and Auckland, arrived here yesterday, and berthed at tho Kitifr'a Wharf. She put off 690 immigrants at Brisbane, at which port she made arrival on August 24. She left the next d:tv for Auckland, and exuericijced fairly heavy weather on tho way over. The Union Co.'s steamer Navua goes back to Wcstport from Wellington probably railing to-morrow. She proceeds to Auckland and Suva. It i> proposed to take tho Putiki- off tho Patent Slip on Tuesday morning. An unexpected arrival in port from Auckland to-day is the N.Z. Shipping Co.'s It.M.S. Ituapehu. She leaves for London via way ports on Thursday, at noon. Captain Morlcy. late of the Kanna, has been appointed to tho Kurow in place of Captain S. Nicholson, who transfers to tho Waihora. Mr. J. C. M. Scott (of the Loongana) came up by the Monowai yesterday to join tho Aorangi, as purser.
