RIFLE SHOOTING.
The annual reletting of the Opaki Rifle Club was held in Masterton, on Friday evening. Captain W. J. Welch occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance. The balance-sheet showed the club to be in a sound financial state, and the report indicated that the club had had a very successful season. The following officers were fleeted for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr. A. W. Hog!?, M.P.; president, Mr. H. G. Williams; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. M'Gregor, W. G. Beard, J. M. Coradine, E. J. Dagg, li. Morrison, 1\ G. Maunsell, D. M'Kenzie, G. C. Suminerrell, J. 0. Bidwill, A. P. Whatman, S. Inder, D. Bonald, and Dr. Cook; captain, Mr. W. J. Welch; secretary, Mr. I). M. M'lutosh.
