wAirarapa and east coast P. & A. society. A meeting of the 'Wairarapa and Enst Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society was held at Carterton yesterday, Mr. W. Howard Booth presiding over a gathering of about 30 members. Eighteen new members were elected. It was decided to extend the oval at one-end of the showground to make it more convenient for the judging of horses, and for tlio jumping conte-sts. The ground committee reported that extra accommodation had bren provided for draught horses, so that the boxes nt the north oiid aro now available for stallions,, etc. A number of niattorsj'n connection tfith the forthcom-* ing show were also dealtwith. It was decided to invito his Excellcncy the Governor to attend tlio show.
