Messrs. Dalcety and Co., Ltd., report on their sale held at Levin yesterday as follows:—We had a very full yardintr of both oheep and cattle, which sold well up <to late .rates. Although bidding at auction was rather drawing. v:e managed to quit all the cattle and the jnaiority of sheop at -satisfactory prices. Sheep: Store wethers, 15s. 3d.; forward wethers, 18s. 7d.; ewca and lambs, 12s. 6d.; fat ewes. 205., 195., 153. Id.; fat wethers, 225. 2d. Messrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd.. report:—At Levin yesterday wo yarded 24 pens of sheop and 46 pens of cattle. Competition for sheep was not quite as brisk lie at last sale, but thn few. pens that were passed changed hands immediately afterwards at the reserve prices, nnd we have to report a total clearance. All classes of cattle were keenly competed for and. with the exception of three small pens, all linos changed handn under (ho hammer. Quotations:—Sheen: Fat wethore, 18c, 19s. 9d., 205., 21s. 6d.; forward wethers. 17s. 2d.; fat ewes, 17s. 3d. and 18s. 3d.; fat- hoggeta, 193. fel.; ewes and lambs, 17s. 10d. to 255. 9d.; good hoggcte, 13s. 4d., 13s. 6d.. 13s. 9d. to 14s. 4d.; medium hoggets. 10s. 6d.. 11s. Id., 11s. 10d. to 12s. sd:; cull hoggets, 6s. 9d. Mr. Newton Kind's weekly sto'ck report is as follows:—On .Monday, September 11, I held a very successful clcarin? sale at Lowgarth on account of Mr. P. H. Hooper. The cows were in cood condition, and met with very keen competition from the largo attendance of buyers present. Young made Jersey cows made from £fl ss. to £19 10s.; later, £5 to £7 10s.; empties, £3; springing heifers, £7 to £10 10s.; bull, £10; sows with litter, £4 10s. to £6 2s. 6d.; boar, 255. Sundries sold well. On Tuesday, September 12, at my fortnightly sale at Rahotu, there was only a small yarding:, principally of young stock, whicli realised good prices. Purdic's farm, Waitara Road, when, despite the very wet weather, there was a good attendance of the public.
