The following details of the cruiser Moltke were given in "Nauticus," tho German nnval annual:—Length on the construction water-line, JBG metres; greatest width, 29-5 metres; construction' draught, 8.2 metres; displacement', about 23,000 tons; armament, ten 11-in. guns in fivo double turrets, twelve G-in. guris, and twelve 3.5-in. guns; engine capacity, 50,000 indicated horse power; speed, 25 J knots; normal coal supply, 1000 tons; total bunker capacity, about' 3100 tons. According to tho tables, all the details given for the Mqltko apply also to the next cruiser, which has been launched and named Goeben. The preceding cruiser tho Von der Tann, which was at Spithead the other day, has, a length of 171.5 metres, a breadth of 26.6 metres, a draught of 8.1 metres, and a displacement of 19,000 tons. Tho Moltke'and the Goebon are intended to be "record-breakers" in point of speed. Tho Von der Tann has hitherto the German! record with 2S knots, but Messrs. Blohm and Voss, tho builders, expected the Moltko to travel at 30 knots, while they are alleged to cherish the ambition that tho Goeben will develop 35 to 33 knots.
