AT NAPIER—IUSK WINS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Napier, September 15. The Havrke's Bay golf tournament was concluded this afternoon in glorious wcathor. Tho rain of the previous night had improved the links considerably, and the greens were in first-olass order. ■ In the championship H. B. Lusk and H. M. Butterworth played the first 18 holes of the final in the morning, at the end of which Lnsk was 4 up on his opponent. In the afternoon Lnsk started Dy winning tlyo iii-st two holes in five and four respectively. Buttonvorth, however, reduced the le<ad to four again, and eventually to three, but although he played ex-, oellently he ,eould not further reduce tho margin, and Lusk eventually won by 3 up and 2to play. He thus carries off tho Havrke's Bay championship for the second time in succession. Mr. J. Hindmarsh, junr., was the winner of tho final bogey handicap, being 5 up on bogiv with a handicap of 11. In tho afternoon a foursomo lwndioap was played, and was won by L. A. and L. M. Abraham, with a score of 82 (handicap 7), 75. , The prizes were presented ia the afternoon by Mrs. Barnan.

KHANDALLAH CLUB. The' third annual general meeting of tlio Kluindallah Bowling Club was held last evening at the club pavilion.. There was a largo attendance. Tho tlireo rothv ing .directors did not.seek re-election, and Messrs. J{. B. Vincent, P. H. Bourke, and P. Bates were ejected, and Mr. \V. K. Plimmer was appointed to fill the extraordinary vacancy in tho beard of directors, caused by tho resignation, of Mr. J. M. Batham. Messrs. Harltness aud W. Bourke were appointed delegates to tlio "Wellington Centre, and Mr. j. A. Plinnuer delegate to the Northern Bowling Association. (Tho following were appointed officers of the club for tho ensuing year:—President, Mr. J. G. Barkncssj vice-president, Mr.'B. B. Vincent; secretary, Jlr. W. Bourko (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. TV. K, Plimmer; and auditor, Mr. ll.' M. Nalder (re-elected); hon. solicitor, Mr. E. S. Stafford. Several important alterations to tho by-laws were passed, the most important being one dealing with the selection of players to represent tho club at the various interclub competitions. .The new rule provides for the appointment of a selection committee by the members of the club, instead of it being appointed as heretofore by the directors. . Tho appointment of selection committee for the forthcoming year was left over until the meeting to be held' on September 29. ■ The usual vote of thanks to the officers and retiring directors was passed. After the ordinary general meeting an extraordinary general meeting was held to consider certain alterations to tho articles of association—these dealing principally with-the abolition of the office of vice-president, the amalgamation of tho offices of secretary and 'treasurer, and also some other important alterations io the articles. The resolutions dealing with these alterations will come before the meeting of the club, to be held" on September 20, for' confirmation. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to tho chairman (Mr. J. G. Harkness), who .presided over .the meeting, owing to the absence of (lie president, Mr. .T. A. Plimmer. A special vote of thanks was passed to Jlr.' W. Bourke (hon. secretary) for the whole-hearted interest he has shown in the affairs of the club since its inception. WELLINGTON CLUB. Tho directors of the Wellington Bowling Club .have decided to open." their greens for the season on Saturday, October 7.,

LINTOJ} CLUB'S ANNUAL. The annual meeting of the Linton Rifle Club was lipid on Thursday evening in fiic hoard room of Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Mr. 11. Akers being in the chair. There v.-as a fair, attendance. The report f.nd balance-sheet were adopted, I'l'.e report stated that the club had experienced ft successful year in winning trophies, and they had been able to carry forward a small credit balance. Tho club had' secured second place in tho teams' match .at the local association meeting, giving the Opaki Club a close run. Tlic.v had also won a teams' prize at the Treiilham meeting, as well as being (lis first to win the Colonial Ammunition! Company's shield, presented for competition among rifle clubs. Mr. S. (freer was re-elected patron; Mr. H. Aker?, president; Mr. H. C. Baker, ff,rrctary; and Messrs. Barr, Griggs, Newtli, and Handel the committee for the ensuing rear. Tho following new members were elected Messrs.,-Page, Woolf, Benscmann, B. Pratt, 11. Griges, S. Tronvaine, W. Cook, P. Mills, J. Dnlziell, P. O'Neill, A. Batchelar, Lucas, It. M. Haycock, and Ingles. The club will hold their opening event on Wednesday, and tho committee were instructed to make arrangements for the trophy shooting as early 'as possible. The president promised trophies for competition among the younger shots as soon as the season has fairly started. The meeting terminated with a vote of tliauks to Messrs.
