RUFFIAN CARRIES OFF A GIRL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Winnipeg, September 13. The disappearance of a schoolteacher named Miss Brice, a relative of the Premier (Mr. Hoblin), of Manitoba, started a hue and cry along the trail left by ths supposed murderer from the schoolhouso to a gully a milo distant. Tho body was not fonnd, although tho whole neighbourhood participated in tho search. Tho girl was found later wandering on tho prairie. She had been captured by a ruffian and kept all night on the prairie, being beaten repeatedly. Tho ruffian escaped. If found ho will Probably.bo lynched.
