SIDE ISSUES DROPPED. FRANCE URGED TO STAND FIRM DIVERSE VIEWS. By Teleeraph-Press Association— Copyright (Rec. September 12, 11.50 p.m.) Paris, September 12. Tho important portions of the German counter-proposals in connection with the crisis centres in Morocco and tho other issues previously raised are placed in the background. "Lo Temps" states that Europe is weary of having German pretensions dinned into its ears. France has made naval, military, and financial advances since 1905, and is now ready to say "No if an attempt is made to extract intolerable concessions.
SURRENDER DENOUNCED,
PAN GERMAN LEAGUE MEETING. (Rec. September 12, 11.50 p.m.) Berlin, September 12. The president of the Pan-German League, at a meeting at Dusseldorf, delivered a vehement address denouncing the political surrender .of Morocco to France. Ho said the so-called compensation in the Congo corresponds neither with the wishes of the German people nor the necessities of the German Government. Tho "Lokal-Anzeiger" professes to have special ground for stating that Germany's proposals do not contain a demand for special rights of any kind in Morocco. Tho main question is the obtaining of security against a French monopoly of public works, raining, and trade interests. The panic on the Bourse has subsided.
SOCIALIST PROTEST. VESTED INTERESTS IN WAR. (Rec. September 12, 11.50 p.m.) Berlin, September 12. The Social Democratic party's Congress at Jena has urgently protested against an attempt to provoke "a man-murder-ing war." It is declared that I'he only persons interested arc- the colonial pirates, the Chauvinists, and the manufacturers of war material. Many of the delegates at the Congress accused tho leaders of the party of hesitating to join the proletariat of othtr countries in protesting against the Moroccan adventure. THE GERMAN PROPOSALS. PRIVILEGED. POSITION SOUGHT. Paris, September 11. A semi-official Note has been issued, stating that M. de Selves, the French Foreign Minister, is considering tho Gorman proposals. It is added that ho is likely to accept those strengthening the economical equality between the Powers in Morocco, but it is believed that he considers it impossiblo to grant Germany a privileged economic position. Rcuter's Agency states that Germany agrees in principle to a French protectorate, but the accompanying reservations invest the outlook with seriousness. They practically amount to a Condominium in regard to telegraph and railway construction.
TENSION RELIEVED IN BERLIN. Berlin, September 11. Tho Government has issued a reassuring statement, which has relieved the tension on the Bourse. FRENCH FORCES READY. Paris, September 11. M. Delcasse, Minister lor Marino, speaking at Toulon on Sunday, said Franco's fighting material was ready for any eventualities at any moment GERMANS MURDERED NEAR AGADIR London, September 11. The Tangier correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph," in a letter from Marrakesh, reports that four German mineralogists have been assassinated in the Sus district, inland 'from Agadir.
