One of the delegates at the Navy League Conference which at present is silting in AVcllington (Ma-. ° r Ashbnrton), is a grandson of tho Lieutenant Pasco who hoisted Nelson's famous signal, "England Expects That Every Man Will Do His Duty," on the flagship Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar, the entire signal required twelve separate hoists, ns follow:— "England—expects—that—every-man-will—do—his—d—u—t—y." . The last word "duty" required to be spelt by individual fetters, there being no signal for the word. i
