Burgess, who swam across tho English Channel last week, has refused offers from the music halls to givo exhibitions of Channel swimming, including one of ,4500 a week, but ho is willing to attempt to swim to Franco and rest there, and then to swim back to England, all within fifty hours, if ho is offered J310.000.
