Limited, Pnlmerston North, report:—A fair yarding of both sheep and rattle came to hand, which sold as below:—Cull ewes, to ss. 6d.; backward empty ewes, 7s. 4d. to 7s. 10d.: empty ewes, to Ids: 3d.; extra good wether hoggets,, to 14s. 5d.; mixed-age ewes iu lamb, to 15s. Bd.; fat, owes. 17s. 6d. to IBs. lOd. Cattle: Two-year empty heifers, to £3 55.; yearling steers. £2 10s.; flftccnmontha heifers, to £2 Ms.; yearling hulls, £2 65.; bulls, to £4; two-year steers. £4; empty cows, £2 17s. 6d. to £3 55.; backward dairy cows, to £4 17s. 6d. • DOLSTEIN-JEItSEY CROSS CATTLE. At the Himatangi salcyards to-day at 11 a.m. sharp the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, arc offering a very choice lot of ICO cows and 100 heifers on account, of Mr; S. It. Lancaster, consisting chiefly of Holstein aud Jersey 'crosses. Mr. Lancaster has been milking a number of the cows at His Eimatangi farm, and has carefully picked the balance from some of the best herds in .the district. As is customary. Mr. Lancaster guarantees every cow sound, and the..cows arc all close to calving (20 being already in milk). The heifers are an exceptionally choice lot, and are all showing well forward in calf. Every lot will go to the highest bidder, all purchases being trucked freo of Himatangi by Mr. Lancaster. The train leaves Palmerston North at 9 a.m., returning to Palmcrston North at 4.40 p.m.
