Tho dear food riots aro increasing in violence, • and aro becoming more widespread in north-eastern France, with Roubaix as the storm centre. Inciting placards have been placed in many quarters of Paris, but at present vithout result. SHOPS WRECKED AT ROUBAIX. Paris, September 8. At tho manufacturing town of Roubaix, in Nqrthern France, a mob wrecked tho windows of tho butchers' and dairymen's shops. ~ Cavalry dispersed tho crowd, Several of tho rioters wore injured, and % number were arrested. GERMAN MEAT SHORTAGE. Berlin, September 8. Tho Merchants' Guild has urged tho Government to facilitate tho importation 9f Argentine and American meat.
