The Bakhtiari cavalry,' fighting with magnificent dash, decisively, routed the ex-bkah's forces under Emam Jade Jeffar, near Veramin, thirty-five miles south-east of Teheran. Colonel Haase, a German, commanding the Government artillery, worked a mitrailleuse. Arshad-ed-Dowleh was severely wounded, and was captured, with two hundred and fifty men and four guns. Eighty of Arshad's men were killed. Renter's Agency states that Arshad pill be executed. REBEL IMPENITENT TO THE END. (llec. September 7, 11.10 p.m.) Teheran, September 7. Arshad-ed-Dowleh courageously faced his executioners, and shouted "Long live the country!" Ho fell at the first volley, and a second firing party was requisitioned. He then Taised himself and faced them kneeling. Raising his right hand, he shouted twice, in a clear voice; "Long live Mohammed Ali Shah '." Then, as the volley rang out, he fell forward, dead.
