Tho chairman stated that.five societies had applied for rod (leer, and orders for over 200 pheasants for 1012 had been received. The curator of the society's fish hatchery at Maslorton reported that 200,000 rainbow trout ova and r-25,000 brown had been put down for hatching, and 180,000 brown were exnected daily from Waco. The former were doing very well, and ho was preparing to fill orders from Ilawke's Bav and Fciiding. The Director of tlie Royal Geological Society of New South Wales wrote paying the question of suitable birds for New Zealand would be considered by a committee of experts. The curator of tho society's game farm and deer park at Paraparaumu. reporting upon the progress of tlio Warnhnm Court (Sussex) deer, said tlio imported animals were doing well, but a crossbred stag from Wairarapa and "Warnhani strains was a finer animal in every respect.
