Tho question is a difficult one to answer, as ranch depends on the district in which tho factory is situated and tho price it is intended to pay for butter-fat. It is generally recommended by exports, hoirevOr, that about 300 cows are necessary, although there are districts where success could .bo achieved with less than this number:
