W.F.A. COMMITTEE MEETS. Mr. B. L. .Salmon;] presided over the weekly meeting of the Wellington Footbull Association last evening. Permission was granted to tho employ- . ees of the firms of T. and 11. Gooder and '• C. M. Banks, Ltd., to nlay a match. It was stated, however, that town grounds were not available. Mr. Jas. Paton was elected manager of tho learn which is to play Canterbury at Christchurch on September 16. A. Pom- was granted a transfer from the Y.M.C.A. fourth division 13 team to the A team. It was mentioned that tho city reserves would not bo available for play after next Saturday. is Tho Wednesday competition has been y closed, Hearts A being winners with 17 points. There were also present is Messrs. B, J. Betliell, ,T. J. Roberts, A, 's Williams (lion. sec. W.F.A..), and the Rev. a E. T. W. Bond. Tlio toast-list included j. tho "W.F.A.," proposed by Mr. R.. Tho following motion was carried: "That this d meeting of tho South Wellington F.C. n place on record their appreciation of tho it generosity of Mr. E. J.
