D NEW ZEALAND AWARDS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, September 4. Tho Festival of Empire awards include: Arts and Crafts—Gold medals: Nielsen (Auckland), Tilburn (Dunedin), and the New Zealand Leather Company. Silver medal: Kirkwood, New Zealand. Alimentation.—A second Grand Prix was awarded to the New Zealand Government, with gold medals for individual sections. Gold medals were also given to the Ashburton Holler Mills, Wood's Mills (Christchurch), the Timaru Milling Company, Nicol (Waimate), the Auisebrook Company, and the Atlas Company (Christchurch), the Colonial Sugar Company, Kirkpatrick and Co., and Jaques and Co. (Nelson), the I'Yimley Company (Hastings), Clark (Whangarei), Mennip and Dey (Auckland), the Christchurch Meat Company, tho Gear (Wellington) Meat Company, - Murray and Company (Invercnrgill), and Hancock and Company (Auckland). Silver medal: Speight (Dunedin). Bronze: Fester (Wellington). Building Trades.—A diploma of honour was awarded the New Zealand Government. Silver medals: Beamish (Auckland). Clothing.—A Grand Prix was given to Miss Roberts (Christchurch). Engineering.—A Grand Pris was awarded the Wcstport Coal Company, and also to the Now Zealand Shipping Company. Advertising.—A Grand Prix was awarded tho New Zealand Tourist Department. Chemistry-Gold medal: Warnock (Auckland), the New Zealand Candle Company, and John Newton and Sons (Kaiwarra).
