Although tho weather continues exceptionally dry, feed is .coming away rapidly, and most of the stock is looking wefl. Farmers iu general are prophesying another dry season, and maize and other green food is being sown accordingly ia order to make provision for dairy slock. Hares are again reported to bo a considerable nuisance to young crops in tho Wailuna West district. It seems rather a pity that one cannot exterminate a few. of them in the same way as the rabbits are dealt with.
