AN INSULT TO RAILWAYMEN.
Sir,—On reading the Parliamentary ; news in,'your columns of a .speech, given r by tho Hon. J. A. Millar, the Minister ; for Railways, in ( reply to a question, ; said he was prepared to pay higher wages J to honest men. This I take, to be a down- j right insult to all the men employed in tho railway service, and for the Minister j to cast: such a. stigma on all and sundry alike,is, a most serious thing. If the rail- : way employees are the men I take them , to be,', they will insist on an explanation j from him, or insist upon an apology i through',the columns of the press.—l ( Am, etc.) ■ A.FATHER OP ONE EMPLOYED. ,
