SWIMMING.

COLLEGE CLUB'S "ANNUAL." The second annual general meeting of Victoria College Amateur Swimming Club was held last evening. The report and balance-sheet—the latter of which showed a credit balance of nearly £B— were adopted without amendment. Tho election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Professor Laby; vicepresidents, Professors Ada-mson, Enstertield, Garrow, Hunter, Kirk, Picken, and Von Zedlitz, Messrs. B. Hector, L. Ludwig; T. Ronayne, F. P. Wilson, and C. Cotton; captain, Mr. T. U. Ronayne; lion, secretary, Mr. P. Grey; treasurer, Mr. C. Aston; committee, Messrs. G. H. Nicholls, R. Mackay, A. Seaton, F. West; hon. auditor, Mr. A. N. Hancock; delegates to Wellington centre, Messrs. T. U. Ronayne and P. Grey. Mr. Nicholls moved, and Mr. Grey seconded: "That it be a recommendation to tho incoming committee to pay more attention to long-distance swimming."— Carried. Mr. Hancock moved, and Mr. Robertson seconded: "That swimming picnics be held moro frequently this season."—Carried. The question of entering a polo team in the local competitions was left to the committee to ileal with. Mr. Hancock moved, and Mr. Seaton seconded: "That the committee endeavour to arrange a swimming, tournament amongst tho colleges of the New Zealand University."—Carried,
