HARRIERS.

A five-milo inter-club handicap was held by the Wellington Harriers oil Saturday at the Hutt Park racecourse. Tho Brooklyn Club were also well represented, and two- of their members carried first and second honours. W. Power (Wellington Club) secured Mr. Langdon's special trophy for the first Wellington man home. Messrs. Watt and Muir were tho officials for the day. B. Curry and F. Hodgsoa selected and trailed the course, which consisted of one lap ou tlio course proper, thenco out across the river to the Day's Bay Road, which was followed for over a mile, finishing up with another lap ou the course. The handicappers (Messrs. Pollock and Watt) scored a success, as the field was well bunched at tho finish. Places and starters:— V. Bryne, 45sec, 1; C. Murray, -lSsec., 2; W. Wilton, • 3min. 40sec. Next Saturday's run starts from Mr. C. Rowberry's residence at Karori. Tho Brooklyn Harriers held their weekly run from tho To Aro Baths oil Saturday. There was only a fair attendance owing to a number of their members running at Taita. Hares were dispensed with,, and the pack, under G. Scott and B. Mansfield, proceeded over Jit. Victoria, and ran over the ridges to Noivtown Park. From thero tho Southern. Road was followed to Lyall Bay. A turn was then made for home, the run finishing round Evans Bay and Oriental Bay. A team of three Wednesday runners undertook to beat threo of the Saturday niemlwrs, and, somehow or other, the Wednesday men occupied the first three places in the runin, The winner was G. Scott, with R. Rough and S. Myers at intervals of about live yards. The Wednesday section run this "week from the Thonidon Baths.
