GREAT LOSS OF LIFE IN JAPAN. By Telegraph—Press Association—CJopyricht Perth, September 2. According to reports by returned Chinese, the lata typhocn in Japan was the worst on record. It caused immense damage. There was a great loss of life, chiefly caused by a tidal wave driven before the gale.
