MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) AN EXPLOIT BY JUVENILES. Two boys were charged in the Juvenile Court on Saturday with stealing 175 bicycle tubes, valued at ,£42 10s. 9d., the property of the Dunlop Rubber Company. One of tho accused was convicted and ordered to receivo six strokes of tho birch. Tho other is to bo placed on tho Wereroa Farm. CHARGE OF RECEIVING. Edward Rosenberg was charged with receiving the above goods, knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. Chief-Detective Broberg asked for a remand. 110 said that tho accused was in business in Manners Street. When arrested by Detective Masoni ho had said: "Had I known this was coming it would have been better to have got a revolver and blown my brains out." A remand till September 6 was granted. Mr. P. W. Jackson, who represented the accused, asked for bail, which was granted in .£IOO, or two sureties of ,£SO. INEBRIATION. j Thomas Elliott was fined .£1 for inebriation.
