CATHOLIC CLUB.

1 The' twenty-sixth half-yearly general meeting of the Wellington Catholic Club was held in St. Palrick's Hall on Thursday evening last. In the absence of tho president of the club (the Very Rev. Father O'Slica), Mr. J. M'Gowan, vicepresident, occupied the chair. The Kev. Father Yenning was also present. The half-yearly report and balance-sheet wore adopted. The report indicated'that tho affairs of the club were in an encouraging condition. There had been a remarkable increase in membership. The cricket branch had been successful in annexing the third-class championship. The finances of the club were also in a healthy state. After dispersing the sum of .£7. ; > IDs. Id., a credit balance of .£27 ]s. Gel. was. being carried forward to current account. The election of officers for the ensuing half-year resulted as follows:—Patron" his Grace Archbishop Redwood; president, Very Rev. Father O'Slica; vice-presidents, Very Rev. Dean Regnault, Rev.
