The area of the eastern slopo of tho Rocky Mountains lias now been created into n forest: reserve and placed by nn Act of tho House of Commons under the Forestry Branch of tho Department of the Interior. The area of this forest reservo extends over 10,700,000 acres. This great estate will bo managed and developed under tho most modern forestry conditions. The Middlesex County Council have decided to make an allowance of 10s. a year to tho caretaker of the Willealen l'olico Court for the maintenance of an official police-court cat.
