IS THERE A STRIKE?
WIIANGAMOMONA TUNNEL. Mr. J. ]3. Hine (Stratford) asked the Minister for Public Works in tho House of Representatives yesterday whether he had any information to the effect that tho workmen at the Wliangamomona tunnel had ceased work 011 account of tho smallness of their pay. Tho work was hard and there had lieeii serious accidents. The men should be well paid for such work.
