The Bceond annual general meeting of the members of the N«\v Zealand Society of Accountants will be hold at the- Chamber of Commerce this evening. The cause of education in tho Wellington district has prospered very well during , tbo past twelve months, according to Hie chairman of the Wellington Education Board, who was re-elected to the presidency of tho board at its meeting yesterday. In returning thanks for his reelection, Mr. Lee said that it was a, matter for gratification that the business of education in the district was running smoothly, and with harmonious relations between the board and the central authority (tho Education Department). The work of erecting the new wireless station on the top of the Tinakon nils has been commenced. llio building which is to include an operating room, office, bedroom, and a separate building for the engine and dynamo, is being erected in rubble by tho Po?t and Telegraph Department.
