THE PANTOMIME SEASON.
Sir,—As one of (lie audience at Saturday night's performance of the Williamson Company's p-uitomime. "Jack and tho Beanstalk," 1 wish (o prote.-t against (lie manner in which a largo part of (ho second act, and inanv of ifs spectacular features, were omitted. The performance began at 7.10 p.m.; five minutes earlier (ban usual, and terminated at 10.20 p.m. My friends inform lue that on previous evenings, when the whole performance was given, the curtain fell at a little after 11 p.m. The nantumimo was certainly a mediocre one, but at tho same time oue objects to being charged full price for such a mutilated representation of it. The Williamson theatrical combine is now all-powerful, and ono noticed that it hacked Saturday's performance to pieces without so much as a word of apology.—l am, etc., AN OCCASIONAL PLAYGOER.
