St. Paul's Methodist Church, a handsome new brick building with a 6pire, in Broad Street, and the first brick church in Palmerston North, was dedicated and opened to-day with considerable ceremony. Tho Rev. C. 1L Laws was tho preacher, and tho Rev. Mr. Spcnce is the minister in charge. The combined choirs 91 tins town assisted. Lord Islington laid tho foundation-stono some time back.
