Margaret Andrews and Samuel Mitchell, co-respondent. Damages, by arrangement, were .£25. In the case A. J. Petersen v. Elizabeth. Ellen Petersen and Leonard Robinson and W. lies, co-respondents, a decree n'si was also granted, petitioner '» pay 1!ls. per week towards the support of respondent till the decree is made absolute. Bendix Christensen sued George Green for negligent driving of a motor-car, and severely injuring plaintiff. The latter claimed .£950 general damages for injury to health, and .075 special damages. The jurv brousht in a verdict of special damages £">, and general damages JC275. Auckland, August 25. At the Supreme Court, this afternoon the jury brought ill a verdict of guilty against' Harry Wilson, a young man, charged- on two counts with a certain very serious offence. Prisoner was sentenced by Mr. Justice Chapman, on the first count to ten years' imprisonment with hard labour, and, on the second count, to five vr-avs' imprisonment with hard labour, the sentences to be cumulative, and in addition to be declared a habitual criminal.
