PUREBRED JERSEY STOCK.
: A CABTERTON IMPORTER. The steamer Botorua, which is due from London'about tho middle of next month, is bringing' a further assignment of blood Jersey stock, viz.: two buiU for Mr. Easle, of; Carterton. The bulls were purchased for Air. Eaglo by Sir. Stacker at the Jersey sale held at Ashtou Court on June 9 by Lady Smythe. One oi the bulls is by Ashton lOoble—Bobbatte, his granddam being Lustre, winner. i«f sis. first prizes, 'including first at the Tring Show, in 1907 and 1908, and second at the Royal Show, at Newcastle-on-Tync, in 1908. Ashton Noble was by Noble of. Oakland;, a-son of the celebrated champion prize cow Lady Viola, out of Oofaria. winner of the first prize for Jersey, and the Blythswood Bowl in 1907, and various other prizes. Bobette was R.H.C. in her class, ontl was awarded the certificate of merit in. the butter test at the Tring Show, 1910.
The other Dull is by Bobbie—Walcombe Sturstone, and cornea of a particularly good milking .strain. The latter was second, in tho butter test prize, and E..T.8.5. bronze medal, a'jdwon several other prize-?. In 1907 she yielded 853011b. milk, in 1908 08111b., and in 1909 881621b.
